Psychological Services for Expats, Individuals & Couples

My approach to psychotherapy is a collaborative partnership. I believe that to understand your present challenges—especially those that come with a global life—we must explore the influences that have shaped you: your personal history, your relationships, and your cultural background. By bringing these stories into our sessions, we don't just find temporary solutions; we unlock deep insights that lead to meaningful and lasting change.

Individual Therapy

In our confidential one-on-one sessions, we work collaboratively to understand your personal narrative and address the challenges you're facing. This therapeutic journey is tailored to you, but some common areas of focus include:

Anxiety, Stress, and Panic Attacks: Developing strategies to manage overwhelming feelings and regain a sense of calm and control.

Depression and Isolation: Working through feelings of sadness, loneliness, and disconnection, particularly those related to the expat experience.

Life Transitions: Navigating significant life changes such as relocation, career shifts, and adapting to new cultures with resilience.

Burnout and Professional Exhaustion: Addressing the mental and emotional toll of high-pressure environments to find balance and renewed purpose.

Relationship Difficulties: Exploring attachment patterns, communication issues, and the impact of past relationships on your present life.

Grief and Bereavement: Providing a supportive space to process loss and navigate the complex journey of grieving.

Building Self-Esteem: Fostering a deeper sense of self-worth and confidence to help you thrive in your personal and professional life.

Couples Therapy

For binational and cross-cultural couples, I provide a structured space to navigate the unique complexities of your relationship. I use a Brief Psychotherapy model, typically completed in 3 to 6 months, which provides a clear and focused path toward resolving your challenges and strengthening your bond.

We begin by structurally exploring the issues that brought you to therapy and defining your shared goals. We then explore your personal histories and cultural influences, as well as the unique story of your relationship, to understand your current dynamic. This context is crucial for identifying negative cycles, improving communication, and creating a path forward together.

Common goals for our work together include:

- Improving communication and resolving conflict

- Rebuilding trust and intimacy

- Navigating cultural differences and expectations

- Understanding and breaking negative relationship cycles
